Disney on Ice

The other night Noah and I went on a little date to Disney on Ice! It has been my dream for the longest time to go.. 2 of my favorite things Disney and Ice skating!  I was so excited to take Noah, He couldn't wait to put on his Mickey shirt and ears. I wasn't sure how well he would last in a two hour show but he was glued... Seriously adorable watching him sing, dance, and clap along to his favorite Disney Songs. The opening act was "The Lion King" followed by "The Little Mermaid", "Lilo and Stitch", and "Peter Pan" and Narrated by the Original Disney crew Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy!
He loved it and has been asking every day to go back to Disney on Ice... We had such a great time! It's always great just having him to myself!!

Noah's cute little friend "Kesley" came with us too they are petrolthed just like Simba and Nala... (according to Kelsey's Mom Chay and and I.)

Noah was too busy watching to smile for the camera..

Peter Pan was my favorite..... Noah actually hasn't seen Peter Pan yet, but knew what it was from our trip to Disneyland and the Peter Pan ride there. It is definately going to be our next Disney DVD purchase.

Here is a cute little $15.00 "Flounder" cotton candy!!
I did cave and buy Noah the $12.00 Stitch mug with shaved ice, and he didn't even like it... But that comes from my kid who I asked him if he wanted to get Sour Patch kids on our drive there and he said No Mommy lets just bring Apples....

Broccoli and Kale soup

I was searching the Internet for a really good broccoli soup, I found some great ones but made some   modifications.... This has been my lunch choice lately and is so delish!
I am trying to eat really healthy, my skin has been going crazy and I am trying to eliminate sugar and gluten from my diet (as much as I can) to see if that is part of the problem!
As a result I have been feeling great and lost a few pounds..
My newly diagnosed "psoriasis" however is not even close to being gone, if you have any remedies for it PLEASE let me know.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1/2 medium onion, finely chopped (about 3/4 cup)
  • 3 stalk celery, finely chopped
  • 10 baby carrots
  • 4 cups fresh broccoli, including stems, chopped
  • 2 cups kale
  • 2 cups low-sodium, fat-free chicken or vegetable broth
  • 3 cups of almond milk (any milk will do)
  • 3 springs rosemary
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:

Heat oil on medium heat in a pot,  Gently sauté garlic, onion and celery for 3-4 minutes, until onion is softened. Add kale, carotts and chopped broccoli, followed by the broth and milk. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes, until vegetables are tender.
Allow soup to cool slightly, then transfer to a blender, I just used my hand held mixer and left it in the pot! Blend until smooth. Return soup to pot and heat gently until ready to serve.

Seriously...

Hey
So it's that time to talk about some seriously moments... There were many seriously sweet little ones this week!!

-So Noah sounds like he is a Brit, but he has a new accent, a southern "Abilene" one he walks around saying. "You is kiiiind, you is smaaaart, you is important.
-Mad Men? Do you love? I do, and Luke has the "Draping" down (See below)
-Noah came walking into my room with tape over his mouth.. He said that he wanted to leave it there forever... Ha Ha I have no objections to that idea little man!!
-Luke dances on tables..
- We went to the "Butterfly Exhibit" at the Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids, Noah was terrified after the butterflies were landing on him... by terrified I mean he was screaming bloody murder and everyone starred.. am I a bad Mom that I kind of had a giggle?
-Michigan is playing a little trick on us, it has been in the 70's-80's a few days this week.. I have loved it and I know we will have a cold spell again before summer, I hate to complain about the weather, but I AM NOT a cold weather person. I need sunshine and lots of it... I have been so happy and energetic the last few days I can't even believe it!
-I have been peaking in on Luke and Noah playing, Noah is so unbelievably sweet to his little brother... It is so fun watching them communicate...
-I went to Sephora and seriously walked out with the one and only thing that I needed... That has never happened to me and it probably wont again...
-So call me crazy, but I hate when someone sees my baby for the first time and says "oh the poor kid, where is all of his hair?" um really do you want me to answer that?! Ugh I find it so annoying and I might have to say something rude back.. I know they mean no harm but I guess it's the momma bear coming out. Why not say awe look at that cute smile and huge dimples next time ok?

And this was my favorite

-Noah- "mom Lu Lu keeps blessing". Me- blessing? Noah- yes he keeps making the noise and I tell him bless you. Me- oh he's sneezing. Ha ha cuteness, we should call it "blessing" always!!

 Table Dancing
Tape face...

Luke as "Donald Draper"

eeek it's getting hot in Hurrrrr...

The cutest bald baby ever...

Yes one item.... Thank you.. Alex was so proud

With the weather being warmer we can actually enjoy this view from our balcony

Darth- "Hey Luke guess what? I am your father... (Notice the shirt)

Seeing Green..

We had such a wonderful little weekend ... I worked on Saturday, but after we headed out to my favorite part of town.. "East Grand Rapids", it was packed everywhere, but in a good way, with the weather being so warm people are happy and it is an all around good vibe.. We ate dinner at the "Green Well" so fitting right? and then our favorite ice cream shop (I had green mint choc chip) the "Jersey Junction" is now open!! Hooray!!
We were also able to bring out the jogging/bike stroller (also conveniently green)

Here are some Istagram moments...

Who ever said boys clothes weren't fun and cute????

Noah loves giving Luke kisses.. It always melts my heart!!

Please be jelly jeal of these lips.. I know I sure am...
Love these little moments!!

The boys

The kids were sick of the house, and it was snowing outside so I didn't feel like driving to get the little guys out... So I brought up a few boxes from the basement and they were entertained for hours..
Noah asked if he could be mailed to Grandma's house in Utah in the box..
Why certainly..

Daph and Noah playing in the snow

this little Mug on Luke just kills me.... also I love how is shirt was unbuttoned for a little               "Miami Vice"look

Bye Bye snow.... Hope you don't come back this spring... (ok you can as long as I am out of town that week)
