Camel.. without the hump.

 Oh and I found the funniest saying ever...

So on that note...

I am in LOVE with the latest Camel trend... So perfect for fall.
It looks perfect with a pop of color
{red, orange, green,}

 I Could never pull off the mini skirt for obvious reasons... um one being .......check out her legs
 and we can stop there, but this look is awesome!

 I love the chunky chunk watch and jelwery... Gypsy style.. Plus you could do some serious damage backhanding someone in the face wearing that golden perfection.

 This photo is so amazingly beautiful.. I LOVE the red lips LOVE them, but I am still not sure if I can give in to the spider legs lash look... {For me anyways}

 Perfect, Perfect Perfection
Nail {ed} it!
 An unlikely pop of Green with this outfit!

Turban, Chanel top and bag, camel coat and Ray Bans..

Summer

Ah the summer has come and gone! As much as I LOVE fall, I really hate what comes after it!!
{Michigan Winter} BLA
Anyways I had such a marvelous summer. I was able to do a TON of traveling,
{Seattle, Utah, Las Vegas, South Carolina, Louisville and drove through West Virginia, Ohio, North Carolina and Tennessee} Whew we were busy! I am happy I have been able to venture
 through the East side of the country, while still
enjoying the beautiful Grand Rapids Summer. I think our main highlights in Michigan were
Millenium Park, Lake Michigan, farmers markets, building forts, riding our bikes, My Birthday   and catching
FIRE FLIES.. I had never seen them before and I am so in love
with the little creatures... Noah loved them too!!

Get Baked Ziti.. Easy

 FYI
 Most of my recipes are healthy(er) versions of the traditional
way of cooking my favorite dishes. My recipes come from watching
the Food network and combining and tweaking from my cook books! Oh and
Stealing from my Grandma(s) and Momma! I have
not done a recipe post in forever and my computer is getting
full with my cooking so
I need to get on it!

Happy "Carb"ing

  • 1 1/2 low fat cottage cheese
  • 1 cup skim ricatta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (notice I chopped up some string cheese it worked)
  • 3 tbs parsley (fresh is always better)
  • 1 lb wheat pasta
  • 1 chopped onion (medium)
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1  15 ounce can of tomatoes (chopped or crushed) I try to get no salt added
  • 1 8 ounce can tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp rosemary
  • 1/8 c red wine
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 c grated parmesan cheese
Preheat the oven to 400
  combine all of the cheeses and parsley together and set aside.
Heat oil and add onions and garlic cook for about 5 min. Add the rest of the ingredients and let simmer for 10 min. Then stir the cheese mixture and pasta together and turn off the heat.
  Spray a 9 x 13 glass baking dish with cooking spray and add pasta mixture in. Top with cheese. Bake it for 30 min.... and you have your self a yummy freakin meal. ;) Enjoy

Seriously........

Do you ever have those moments where you just think.... seriously, are you for realsies, why, Awkward, awesome (in my sarcastic voice) I have had lots of those moments this week!
Just to name a few
  • I took my family to Costco to have samples for lunch, it wasn't the first time and it wont be the last...  {Don't judge me I pay $50 a year for the membership}
  • I murdered yet another plant, no matter how hard I try I am a plant cereal killer. I am sick of it.
  • I sent Alex to home depot with some idea of a pipe playhouse I wanted him to make for Noah, (I of course found it on Pinterest and I thought it would be cheap... Come to find out I could have boughten 6 playhouses from Ikea or Target for the amount we spent at home depot. I made him return it later her told me that..........
  • I had to choose between him and Pinterest... The nerve right?
  • Noah was in the bathroom stall with me, the woman next to us tearing it up and he was laughing and yelling ewe Mom her bum Stanks (Stinks).. She goes fuartz (farts in German)... She totally heard him.
  • I am going so crazy, my only adult conversation is responding to the troll on Dora the explorer so she can cross the bridge. not kidding I answered the riddle out loud.
  • Noah has been crawling into our bed every night saying sumpin (something) scary is in his room and  he is bleeding from his head?! What? who is this poltergeist, 6th sense child...
  • I ate loads of cake, ice cream, and carbs galore and acted surprised that I gained 5 lbs..
  • While singing our night-time songs Noah says "Rock a bye don't you freakin cry, we are goin to freakin' Grandmas freakin house, up the hill by the freakin mill to see those freakin lambies.." Wow can not WAIT for him to teach that to all the kids a preschool!
  • Alex is totally snoring right next to me as we speak and I am recording it with my phone to play for him in the morning.. He doesn't believe me that he snores..

humm I can't even begin to imagine where Noah got his amazing model material face from..

What a nerd.. {Get it look what is in the bowl}

Lucas keeps crawling through the bar stools and getting stuck.. He likes to create his own obsticle course .. He will be a adventurer I just know it! Oh and check out the pumpkin shirt guess who got him dressed! haha I lub my hubs..

check out my cute finds from Marshalls.... Too bad i dropped it right after the picture and broke the cake stand.. sad BTW it was $8.99

    Out on the town (Charleston)

    So this is my final Charleston post, it actually makes me sad... Everything about Charleston is so wonderful.. Total picture overload, but I can't help it! I think my favorite part of C- town has got to be hands down king street! We made sure to walk down it everyday.. (Even with the heat index of 105). They have an adorable little candy store that, per request of Prince Noah we had to go to everyday! How could I say no to those perfect pouty lips.? He called it the Robot store...

    Hot Husband alert... Yep I said it! He has some great lips also!!
     I know I have kissed them a few times!

     Mellow Mushroom {LOVE}

     Luke doesn't look too happy!! I thought all kids
    in candy stores were happy eh?

    Look how generous this place is!! Free Smells!! What a steal...

    Just for fun!

     Market Lemonade Bar... So cute and Yummy!!

     Sweet grass baskets!

    See you soon Charleston!! We Love you!
    ps no pinterest pics here!! They are all mine!! Hooray!
