Seattle Trip

A few weeks ago I took a business/hair trip to Seattle, one of my favorite clients lives there we meet up either at her house or in Las Vegas (it is extra fun if I get to go see her though)I adore her, we are like family now. She had just moved to Fox Island and it was so fun to see her new place and that amazing Island, I am in love. Not to mention I could hear the "Christian Gray" helicopters during the night.

Heidi said that a lot of people really do fly their helicopters into Seattle and then head back over to the Island.. Must be nice huh?

Washington State is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been and is on my list of places I could  and want to live. 

I loved that I got to wear my boots, scarves and jackets in June!!

As much fun as I had I really missed my Babes.. They usually come with me on these "hairy" trips, it was so nice to get away alone! My flight home was a red eye out of Seattle, to Philly with a 3 hour layover, then Philly to Chicago with a 2 hour layover, then finally to Grand Rapids! 

Next time I head out there I will be only a two hour direct flight! Looking forward to that... 

Weekend

Time for a hair change, I love the Ombre look, but I have had it for so long so I decided to go blond!! Hooray! I also took my extensions out, but they will be back in with-in the week when I go to Utah no worries!! 

Might I add that you need to head to forever 21 right now and get this shirt... 

It was only $12.80 and I am in love with it!! 

 Saturday night I was able to have Tapas with this hottie, be jealous...

Dirty hair and Kerastase giveaway!

Hey y'all I have mentioned before that I have this crazy obsession of NOT ever washing my hair, this week was no exception and quite frankly I shouldn't admit this, but I went all week! 

Thanks to my good friend dry shampoo and some vintage scarves I think I kind of pulled it off!! Here are a few looks that I literally threw together in 1-2 minutes.

I just got back from my 24 hour girls trip! It was so nice to see my friends,  I have missed them. Not to mention I haven't been on a trip (alone) that wasn't work related for about 5 years! It was time and I think I need to do it again really soon!

It was Kristen with a "K's" 21 birthday! I call her Kristen with a K because we have another Kristen as well... She is with an "M"

However I realized I am getting way too old to stay up until 3 or 4 am, drive 3 hours back to Michigan and then go to work.. whew I am still paying for it!

2012 In Las Vegas

Before moving to Michigan last year, I lived in Las Vegas and worked on the strip. I did hair at the Bellagio for 6 years and then opened up the Aria Hotel Salon and was there for 6 months before moving to Grand Rapids. Because the new year is soooo busy in the salons on the strip and I was west, I was able to help them out at Aria! I have enjoyed all of the time off work spent with my boys, but there is nothing like doing hair on New Years Eve on the strip. I have seen all sorts of things, celebs, drunks, freaks, huge A holes that yell at me in some foreign language saying volume as they pull their hair down flat towards their head.. "What"? but none the less 10 hours and 17 clients later it is kinda worth it... ;) After the long day I still managed to go to dinner with some great friends! oh and I didn't fall asleep before midnight this year! 

When I took this picture I remember sending it through Instagram and it was 8:00 pm AND 76 degrees.. I miss Las Vegas Weather.


One of my favorite long time clients is Jennifer Tilly, I was happy to be in town the same time she was and do her hair!!

These two little southern belles are also some of my  favorite clients as well! They wanted something up and fun for the ball that night!!
