Goodbye to Michigan

My heart is very full as I write this post. Last month we moved out Michigan. I thought that I would be so excited when it came time to leave it here, I am ready for the school life to be almost over, but I will really miss the memories, friends, and the over all beauty of Western Michigan!  I wanted some "good bye" family photos taken at Lake Michigan before we left!
Enjoy!

Some more Chicago {day three}

Here my day three pictures from Chicago (Back in May)
yep that is how I roll
We ate breakfast at Magnolia's bakery, wandered around the empty city (this was actual memorial day), rode the water taxi down the river, and ate at Ginos Chicago Deep Dish Pizza.. My favorite!
I have said this before, but I LOVE Chicago! It is such a great city, and sooo Kid friendly, Everything is walkable and the streets are wide, much wider than New York City. That wouldn't be such a big deal if you aren't pushing a double stroller like we always are on our vacations..

Luke was asleep in the stroller he missed out!

Magnolia's Banana Pudding is to DIE for..

River boat ride!

We are moving out of the Mid-west in 2 1/2 weeks. I am so Thankful for our adventures we have gone on and the places that we have driven to! I am going to miss so much about living in Michigan and one of the main reasons is that I wont be so close to Chicago anymore!
I think I might just have to make another quick weekend trip before we move!

Chicago day 2, the Zoo and North Shore Beach

Day two of Chicago
It was the hottest day of the summer so far, with temperatures topping at 100 degrees. Not to mention the humidity... We started off at the Lincoln park zoo, it was one of my favorite Zoo's I have ever been to and to make it even better it was free!!
The boys LOVED it!
After a few hours we had had enough of the zoo, mainly due to the heat...
Luckily right across from the zoo was "North Shore Beach".
It was super crowded with it being memorial weekend and all, but still worth it!
It was kind of cool being on the "other" side of Lake Michigan!

And I apologize in advance for the 1,000 photos...

This Polar Bear was my favorite.. He was so cute and kept putting his face against the glass like he was kissing the boys..

First Kissing Luke then moving on to Noah!

Luke is obsessed with Birds "Bur Burs'"
So Green and Beautiful...

In this picture you can see how packed the beach was, I thought it was cool to see the city in the background too!!

We had such a great day! I love taking trips and spending time with these three boys! If you are thinking of going to Chicago I would highly recommend it! I Love how kid friendly this city is!! Plus if you have a giant double stroller to push around, the streets are wider and less crowded then other big cities we have been to...
